Support groups are a great way to meet others who have experienced similar things you and your family have been through as a brain injury survivor. Meetings are open to brain injury survivors, both traumatic and non-traumatic, stroke survivors, and loved ones and/or caregivers.
Taught by our very own ECU Health Medical Center nurses, our childbirth class offers instruction on the labor and delivery process. Topics discussed during this session include the labor process, hospital birth plans, when to contact medical providers, breathing techniques, medication, self-care and methods of childbirth.

Our Breastfeeding Support Group at ECU Health Chowan Hospital offers an opportunity to connect with other mothers and lactation specialists on various breastfeeding topics.
ECU Health Cancer Care invites eligible Pitt County residents without health insurance to receive free breast cancer screenings at the Eddie and Jo Allison Smith Tower in Greenville. Free breast cancer screenings are for women 40 years of age and older with at least one year since their last mammogram.

“We’re a limb you can hold onto”. This group provides support for individuals with limb loss and their family or friends. Please join us on the third Thursday night of each month (excluding December). Note: the Disability Advocates and Resource Center is not a support group, but is a resource for people with a disability. They are located on John Hopkins Drive.
