This support group is for pregnant moms and mothers with newborns up to five years of age. The group is designed for new moms to build a sense of community in order to grow and learn in motherhood.

Support groups are a great way to meet others who have experienced similar things you and your family have been through as a brain injury survivor. Meetings are open to brain injury survivors, both traumatic and non-traumatic, stroke survivors, and loved ones and/or caregivers.
Join us for this four class series, which includes hands on training with a Certified Chef and Registered Dietitian. This series is open to the community for a fee of only $30 individuals/$50 couple per class.
Our childbirth class offers instruction on the labor and delivery process. Topics discussed during this session include the labor process, hospital birth plans, when to contact medical providers and more.
Our breastfeeding class at ECU Health Medical Center offers basic instruction on how to breastfeed your baby. We discuss the importance of skin to skin, breastfeeding in the first hour of birth, practices related to breastfeeding in the immediate postpartum period and breastfeeding after returning to work.

Losing a loved one is devastating. ECU Health Home Health and Hospice offers a community-based grief program “Living On After Loss.” Facilitators guide participants through an eight-week grief journey, following the death of a loved one. Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to attend. There is no charge to participate. Whether it is an expected or unexpected death, those left on this earth are welcome.
Our Breastfeeding Support Group at ECU Health Chowan Hospital offers an opportunity to connect with other mothers and lactation specialists on various breastfeeding topics.
ECU Health Bertie Hospital is offering a free flu vaccine clinic. No appt needed – taking walk-ins only. Must be 18 yrs old. Open to the public – limited amount of vaccines will be distributed.
